A GW team consisting of Trevor Ford, Nate Soares, Dan Fego, Ryan Festag, Ben Pence, Alex Florescu, Mike Specter and Marco Chomut placed second of 4 teams in the mid-atlantic regional of the Collegiate Cyber Defense Competition (CCDC)
. Teams were invited to the regional
contest on the basis of their performance in the qualifiers in
