A GW team consisting of Trevor Ford, Nate Soares, Dan Fego, Ryan Festag, Ben Pence, Alex Florescu, Mike Specter and Marco Chomut placed second of 4 teams in the mid-atlantic regional of the Collegiate Cyber Defense Competition (CCDC)
. Teams were invited to the regional
contest on the basis of their performance in the qualifiers in

CS doctoral students Mike Wakid and Can Kirmizibayrak were awarded Second Place at the 3rd Annual SEAS Graduate Students Research and Development Showcase held April 30, 2009. Their project was "Interactive Visualization Tools for Image-Guided Medialization Laryngoplasty". Congratulations!
