14. Use this space for any comments you may have about the course, the instructor, readings, etc.
  • I believe this course needs to have two weeks of introduction to the concepts before the presentations by the students starts. This will set the framework and lay down concepts for the discussions. Many times, the discussions were driven by a couple of students, and often they were off the point. The professor did a good job to mediate man times, but sometimes overwhelmed with the persistence of the individuals staying off the subject. At the end, it was quite a nice subject to be exposed to.
  • The course contained a good number of papers that changed my view of software design and languages such as Java
  • I am grateful for the opportunity to improve presentation skills on academic topics in a welcoming while challenging environment. The readings were an excellent sampling; many of my burning questions were answered while opening up whole new areas of inquiry.
