14. Use this space for any comments you may have about the course, the instructor, readings, etc.
  • Instructor has no patience to explain subjects that student don't understand. He came to class 30 minutes before class start and he started grading homework assignment from last week. After that he is listening music and reading games news over internet. When student ask questions during that time, he get really angry and just explained very briefly about questions. He is not organized and did not provide any useful notes over powerpoint nor blackboard or not even text book. He randomly teach everything coming out from his head instead of following schedule. He did not use powerpoint presentation at all. Instead he explained all programming through computer network so fast that student has no idea what is going on the class. He taught 1and1/2 hour only for 3 hours class. He doesn't know how to grade as well. He graded very unfairly to student that has no experience with programming before. For example, when program don't run he gave "0" for all program instead of grading part by part and try to explain stu
  • Good teacher, good course design. The only problem was that he graded by what you got exactly right. If you didn't get it exactly right it was all wrong. He obviously had encountered students who would push him to give them good grades, and didn't want to deal with that again.
  • As a student with zero prior programming experience, I felt the instructor did a great job in presenting the material. Everything was explained at a level that allowed me to complete the assignments and feel confident on the mid-term exam.
  • Professor Vidrine is a wonderful teacher. He is very knowledgable about JAVA and his assignments are amazing. Students should be warned beforehand that the class does require some knowledge about programming beforehand. Despite the challenges, I am so happy that I went from not knowing what programming was to being able to write a somewhat complicated program. Thank you Professor Vidrine.
