14. Use this space for any comments you may have about the course, the instructor, readings, etc.
- The instructor has no real knowledge of the subject matter. He is not accessible outside of class at all (on request his response is always, "I don't have an office"). His concept of "labs" are step-by-step usage of OptNet software (for which he is a consultant for) that has little to do with real-world network security (no technical things are learned). The professor is also not familiar with any security standards or any operating system security technology (even basic things such as DAC). His lectures in class consist of him reading out of the book and copying what he just read into the whiteboard. Many times he himself doesn't understand the concepts he reads. Almost all students in the class agree with this, it's just a question of who is vocal about it. Maybe the class would be bearable if the professor is engaging, however, he was not.
Why is this person a university instructor? Please have an auditor attend this class or something as currently it is nothing but 3 hours where very very very little
