Academics

Five-Year Bachelor of Science (CS)/
Master of Science (CS)

Course work for the bachelor's degree differs from the standard B.S. in Computer Science in that the student must elect two graduate level Computer Science courses as part of their Computer Science electives (or unrestricted electives).

Application to the graduate portion of the program is ordinarily made after the fifth semester of the required curriculum, and students must be accepted prior to the start of the seventh semester. In addition, it requires the completion of at least 9 credit hours of upper division Computer Science courses that are required for the BS degree before application to the program. Students who follow the recommended curriculum schedule will automatically meet the coursework criteria for application. Students interested in applying for this program must plan their curriculum schedule carefully so that they meet the application criteria before the deadline. It is highly recommended that they work with their undergraduate advisor in developing a curriculum schedule.
