Numerical solutions of linear algebraic equations and the algebraic eigenvalue problem. Sparse matrix techniques. Solutions of nonlinear simultaneous equations. Multidimensional search algorithms. Interpolation and extrapolation. Prerequisite: CSCI 212. (Fall, even years)
