Numerical solutions of problems in one
dimension. Calculus of finite differences in the derivation of
the solution methods. Numerical quadrature; zeros of functions
and zeros of polynomials; finite difference,
predictor-corrector, and Runge-Kutta methods;
boundary-value and eigenvalue problems of ordinary
differential equations.
Prerequisite:
CSCI 212. (Spring, even years)
