Computer Networks

Fundamental concepts in the design and implementation of computer communication networks and internet, their protocols, and applications. Layered network architectures, applications, network programming interfaces, transport, routing, and data link protocols, local area networks, network management, and network security; TCP/IP applications such as DNS, telnet, email, http. Prerequisite: Csci 211 or equivalent.

Csci 232: Computer Networks- Sample Course Outline

This course presents an overview of computer networking and internetworking. The student will be introduced to the major concepts of protocol and networking. The class will examine the configuration of network routers (such as Cisco) and network servers (such as Windows 2000).
