Introduction to programming language implementation. Overview of compilers, interpreters, and assemblers. Lexical analysis. Classical parsing techniques. Symbol tables and static semantic analysis. Code generation and run-time environments. Student-selected term project. Prerequisite: CSCI 211, CSCI 212. (Fall, even years)
