CSCI 283 - Computer Security Principles

Risk analysis and risk management. Introduction to cryptography; encapsulation and advanced cryptographic standards; ISO/OSI Security mechanisms and services; secure operating systems and models of security; Common Criteria; authentication mechanisms; security effects of programming languages; database security and statistical inference controls. Prerequisite: CSCI 210 or equivalent. (Fall)
