CSCI 338 - Mobile Computing and Wireless Networking

Seminar on current research and developments in networks and distributed systems. May be repeated for credit. This course will cover different approaches towards networking in mobile and wireless environments, and computing issues which pose particular challenges to mobile networks, such as location management and power consumption. This course is a survey of the state of the art in mobile computing, and as such will cover protocols which are currently being deployed for wireless networks, as well as many which are still in the research stages. Prerequisite: CSCI 234. (Fall, odd years)
